The Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival

The Festival offers over 150 events covering theatre, stand-up, film and special shows for children. The venues range from city-wide venues, local community centres to city-centre theatres. They will host dozens of performers from new to established. A varied and fun event for all.

Dumfries & Galloway Wildlife Festival
Dates & Location;  21st March - 13th April 2008 in Dumfries & Galloway
The fifth Dumfries & Galloway Wildlife Festival to be held and its popularity continues to grow.  You can see native red deer at the Galloway Red Deer Range.  There’s going to be a repeat of the popular open day at the Wildlife Hospital, seashore exploration trips, and an exciting range of family activities for Easter.  If you’ve never seen a red squirrel, red kite, peregrine falcon, badger or red deer, this is your chance.  Both beginners and experienced wildlife watchers should enjoy the Festival.


The Girvan Cycle Race
Dates  & Location; 22nd March - 24th March 2008 in Girvan, Ayrshire
The Girvan Cycle Race is one of the best cycle road races in Britain.  It’s the only stage race on British Cycling's Premier Calendar elite road racing series. There are up to 100 riders who will take to the roads in four separate stages.  A spectacular feat of racing set amidst the stunning scenery of south-west Scotland.

Easter Eggstravaganza
Dates & Location; Easter Sunday 23rd March 2008 at Traquair House, Innerleithen, Peeblesshire
The Greatest Easter Egg Hunt with over 6,000 mini eggs hidden in the Maze. There will be treasure hunts and scavenger hunts in the house and grounds with some big egg prizes. There’s a gentler Easter egg scramble for under 5's in the old walled garden.  To add to the seasonal fun, there’s egg painting, face painting and a bouncy castle.
